She was predeceased by: her husband James Mart "Jim" South; her parents, George Robert Young and Anne Owen Young; her sister Bobbe Young Windham; her niece Judi Paulette Stewart Griffy; her nephews, Tom Stewart and Jeff Windham; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Turner Stewart and Frank Windham.

She is survived by: her child SiL; her granddaughter Anne Claire; her children, Marty South Thomas (Greg) of Round Rock, Texas and Paul of Vestavia Hills; her grandchildren, Tucker, Griffin and Anne Claire South; her pet Delta; her brother Jim; her sister-in-law Carole Young; her niece Leigh Young; her nephews, James Young (Michele), Shayne Stewart (Michelle) and Andy Stewart (Ann); and also Jennifer Stigall South of Mandeville.
