He was predeceased by: his grandfather Jerry McManus. He is survived by: his parents, Johnnie Kay and Robert Wolf; his siblings, Luke Alan Wolf and Sarah Elizabeth Wolf; and his grandparents, Kay McManus, Janice P. Bricker and Richard Wolf. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In high school, John was a three-time state champion tennis player and would have been a four-time state champion except his senior season was cancelled by COVID.
