Jeff Looney Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jeff Looney (Vestavia Hills, Alabama), who passed away at the age of 56, on January 13, 2020. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his stepfather Herb Stanfield. He is survived by: his wife Bellamy South Looney; his children, Mary Jayne Looney Reed (Brian) and Van Looney (Kathryn); his parents, Sam Looney (Shelby) and Frances Stanfield; and his siblings, Ben Looney (Caroline) and Meredith Looney Cadwell (Justin). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to RISE at Vestavia Hills High School, which benefits the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Research Center at UAB: http://www.uab.edu.

“Jeff, You and Bellamy welcomed our family with open arms to Birmingham. I am so glad our kids got to share Awanna, meals, sermons, playgrounds, and volleyball courts. Their friendships will last a liftime. You were such a light to this world, and it was just a little better place because you were in it. I will miss your love for AU, coffee talks, encouraging words, ribbing of our love for TN, but mostly your smile. You were such a witness for the hope we have in Christ. I will miss my friend.”
