She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dewey and Johnie Owen; and her brothers, David D. Owen of Talladega and William Dewey Owen of Pine Mountain, Georgia.. She is survived by: her husband Lucien Hagedorn; her daughters, Dr. Leah Hagedorn of Norfolk and Rebekah Hagedorn of Atlanta, Georgia.; her sister Dr. Merlin Newton of Auburn; and her sisters-in-law, Madeline Owen and Jackie Owen.
