He was predeceased by : his father James A. Brock, Jr.; his niece Jana'Hayes; his brother-in-law Ronald L. Hayes; and his mother Jane Brooks Brock. He is survived by : his wife Paula Brock of Vestavia Hills, Alabama; his children, James A. Brock III (Vincent Franchino) of Huntsville, AL, Katie Tompkins (John) of Birmingham, AL and Alexander Freeburg of Nashville, TN; his granddaughters, Whitney and Ann Tompkins of Birmingham, AL; his sister Claudia Brock Hayes of Mobile, AL; his aunt Betty Falkner of Boaz, AL; his caregiver Lisa Kreider of Birmingham, AL; and his friends, Tillis Brett, Mike Cassidy, Vic Davis and Dr. Steve Kimbrell.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 19th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the The Club (1 Robert S Smith Dr, Birmingham, AL 35209).
