He was predeceased by: his father Guillermo Ramirez; his siblings, Esteban, Alberto, Pablo and Julia Ramirez Hernandez; and his wife Lucia Ortube of Matanzas.

He is survived by: his son Guillermo Ramirez; his grandchildren, William Ramirez and Stephanie Ramirez Herren; and his great grandchild Seraphina Lucia Herren.
