It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Bailey (Vestavia Hills, Alabama), who passed away on August 14, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her close friend June Calloway; her spouses, James Allen Bailey (Jim) and Jim Bailey; her son Rusty Bailey; and her siblings, Jenny Logan, Katherine Weldon and Tom Gibbons. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
To honor Dot's memory, the family requests memorials be directed to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society (gbhs.org) or Big Oak Ranch (bigoak.org), in lieu of flowers.
