It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Morris Jones of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, who passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eileen Jones (Goodson) and Samuel Morris Jones. He is survived by: his wife Janet Lee Jones (Patton); his daughters, Danette Springer (John Paul) of Green Hill, AL and Janelle Harrison (Justin) of Vestavia Hills, AL.; his grandchildren, Elijah Daniel Springer, Piper Mae Springer, Willow Eileen Harrison and Rhett Ryles Harrison; his sisters, Loretta F. Jones of Florence, AL, Deborah K. Jones of Minneapolis, MN and Jeanette G. Horton of Florence, AL; his sisters-in-law, Jane White of Clinton Township, MI and Donna Lovett of Minneapolis, MN; his nephew Samuel Horton (Sarah); and his niece Jennifer Horton of Florence, AL..
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Elkins Funeral Home (1535 Hermitage Dr, Florence, AL 35630). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
