She is survived by: her sister Beverly Hitt; her daughters, Deborah Hardesty and Melanie Gusmus (Steve); her grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders (Charlie) and Guy Gusmus; and her great grandchildren, Mallory Grace Sanders, Silas Sanders, Avery Gusmus and Hallie Gusmus.

Memorials may be made to Birmingham Humane Society.
