With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Azar Lewis Stephens of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on October 18, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Wesley Stephens; his parents, Lewis Azar Stephens and Elizabeth Saab Stephens; and his siblings, Charlie Stephens, Eloise Stephens, Shirley Sanders, Martha Zaden, Lily Higdon and Delores Wehby.
He is survived by: his sister Henrietta Bruner; his godsons, Philip Norris (Lila) and Richard Lewis Norris; and his caregiver Lewis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
