He is survived by: his children, Brian Atkinson (Amber) of Vernon, AL, Donovan Atkinson of Florence, AL, Jennifer Ritter (Jason) of Sulligent, AL and Tiffaney Hildreth (Wesley) of New Hope, MS.; his grandchildren, Dustin Atkinson (Erica), Isaiah Atkinson, John Silas Atkinson, Mary Brooke Atkinson, Arleigh Patrick (Austin), Ansley Jo Ritter, Isabella Atkinson, Wyatt Hildreth, Chance Hildreth and Greydon Hildreth; his great grandchild Jessie Louise Patrick; and his siblings, Alvin Atkinson of Osceola, AR, Larry Atkinson, Jerry Atkinson of Steele, MO, Norma Hinton of Montpelier, VA and Teresa Tucker of Blytheville, AR.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Otts Funeral Home (4255 US-278, Sulligent, AL 35586). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Lamar Memory Gardens (Vernon, AL 35592).
