He is survived by: his wife Mae Smith Herron of Vernon, AL; his children, Stanley Herron (Jeanette) of Vernon, AL, Donald Herron (Melissa) of Vernon, AL, Vance Herron (Janet) of Vernon, AL, Vickey Blaylock (Ricky) of Sulligent, AL and Lisa Sheffield (Burt) of Sulligent, AL.; his grandchildren, Beth Turner (Nathan), Chelsey White (Jaleb), DeeAnn Hankins (Austin), Jana Cantrell (Todd), Alisha Gilstrap (Blake), Bradley Blaylock (Brittney), Ty Herron (Jordan), Cade Herron (Olivia Burleson), Lindsay Kemp (Josh) and Caroline Roberts (Brennon); and his great grandchildren, Paxton Turner, Jane Turner, Amelia White, Waverly White, Colt Hankins, Reese Hankins, Ansley Jo Cantrell, Avery Cantrell, Jake Cantrell, Coley Gilstrap, Callie Gilstrap, Paisley Blaylock, Myles Blaylock, Hazel Herron, Kash Kemp, Ashby Lynn Kemp and Beckham Roberts.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Otts Funeral Home (4255 US-278, Sulligent, AL 35586). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Sulligent City Cemetery.
