It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Mays of Vernon, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo E. Mays, Sr. and Margaret E. Keiser Mays; his wife Therese Mays; and his siblings, Danny Mays and Bobbi Tynan.
He is survived by: his children, Traci Bonds of Hueytown, AL, Natalie Foster (Phillip) of Kennedy, AL, Todd Mays of Hueytown, AL and Shane Cantrell (Melissa) of Winfield, AL; his siblings, David Mays, Tim Mays, Tom Mays, Lynda Williams, Margie Wheeler, Kathe Boohacker, Micki Willbanks, Cyndi Glaze and Terri Key; his grandchildren, Ashleigh McMurry (Tanner), Zach Bonds (Jeanne), Nathaniel Foster (Molley), Brooke Driver (Cory) and Abby Webb (Griffin); his great grandchildren, Mila Jo, Mallie McMurry, Waylon, Annabelle Foster, Braelynn, Everleigh, Kynlee Driver and Asher Webb; and his close friend Barry Vice. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
