He is survived by: his children, Robert Pennington (Jo) of Fayette, AL and Tammie Pennington of Vernon, AL.; his sisters, Gail Weeks of Ozark, AL and Mary Ellen Rogers of Vernon, AL.; and his grandchildren, Christy Pennington, Amanda Romero (James), Tyler Pennington (Katie), Cody Pilkington (Tabitha) and Holly Morris. He is also survived by Great Grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Otts Funeral Home (4255 US-278, Sulligent, AL 35586). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at the Prospect Cemetery.
