It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Melvin Fletcher of Verbena, Alabama, who passed away on August 14, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Fletcher and Lennie Fletcher; and his son Michael Fletcher. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Fletcher; his children, Richard Dwayne Fletcher (Carmen), David Melvin Fletcher and Laura Lynn Thompson (Steven); and his sisters, Brenda Burdett (Doyle) and Judy Berryhill. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers family ask that donations be made to Glad Tidings Church of God.
