With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Diane Granthum of Verbena, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Patricia Diane farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Patricia Diane is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her brother Alan Newman; and her sons, Pete Barber and Leon Russell. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Granthum; her children, Harvey Russell (Rena), Bo Granthum (Heather), Theresa Hughes and Evelyn Russell; and her sisters, Gayle Knighten and Betty Varner (Greg). She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

A reception was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054). Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
