She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Adams and Leona Cleckler Adams; her husband Willis O. Hilyer; her son Danny Hilyer; and her grandson D. J. Hilyer.

She is survived by: her children, Diann Easterling (Edward), Wendy Mims (Jon), Wayne Hilyer (Janice), Robert Hilyer and Tommy Hilyer (Sandy); and her sister Von Emfinger. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
