She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cook and Ellie Mae Cook; her husbands, Martia Yates and Arnold Whitfield; and her grandson Jay Jackson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Reta Whitfield (Rickey), Kathy Doty (Eddie), Elaine Jackson (Jimmy) and Peggy Joyce Kahlenbeck (Lee); and her grandchildren, Lea Ann Howard (Brian), Krista Guy, April Whitfield, Loni Williams (Ken) and Bubba Doty (Kodi).
