He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Clifton and Jean Elliott Rice of Tuscaloosa; his grandparents, Virgil, Nettie Rice, Lloyd and Della Elliott; his former wife Jewel Hayes Rice; and his sisters, Rebecca Rice and Susie Yancy.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Kelley; his daughters, Misty Kelley (Bourke) and Dana Sides (Keith); his grandsons, Kalob Phelps and Jase "Tater Chip" Thomas; and his siblings, Pat Windle (Buren), Juanita Runyon (Joey), Wally Rice and Joe Rice (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces, nephew and cousins.
