He was predeceased by : his mother Maurine Chancey; his siblings, Susan Chancey Wheeler of Cross City and David P. Chancey; and his nieces, Laurie Wheeler and Marie Chancey.
He is survived by : his wife Charlotte Smith Chancey; his sons, Rick Chancey (Tracie) and Mike Chancey; his grandchildren, Caleb, Caitlyn, Brayden and Brooklyn; and his nieces and nephews, Tammie Weatherholtz, Michele Simmons, Rear Admiral Trey Wheeler, Phillip Wheeler, Dayna Gilchrist, James Gardner and Heather Fidali.
