He was predeceased by: his parents, Tobe Kirkland and Mary Roberts Kirkland of Columbus, Georgia.. He is survived by: his wife Lyn Blanton Kirkland; his sister Nancy Kirkland Reid (Edward) of Seale, Alabama; his nephews, Kirk Reid (Jane Ivy) of Mobile and Will Reid (Eileen) of Seale, Alabama.; his sister-in-law Beth Blalock (Robert) of Clayton, Georgia; his nieces, Julie Lewis (Julian) of Savannah and Ashley Blalock of Fletcher; and his pets, Edith and Grey.
Due to Covid 19, the funeral will be a private graveside service at a family plot in Alabama.
