She was predeceased by: her son Samuel Perry Gothard Jr. (P. J.); her parents, Ralph Donald West and Norma Joyce West; her siblings, Dwayne West and Lisa Green Bush; her nephew Robert Bush (Buddy); and her close friend Kelli Lynn Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Sam; her son Austin; her parents-in-law, Perry and Dorothy; her brothers, Levis Green and Tony West; her nephews, Michael (Mika), Daniel, Adam (Victoria), Blake, Taylor (Catherine) and Chris; her niece Jodie (Jesse); and her close friends, Jeremy Cochran (LeAnna) and Jason Reid (Tracy). She is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peoples Chapel Funeral Home (195 Brooklane Dr, Bessemer, AL 35023). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Gideons.org for bibles in memory of Donna Gothard.
