He is survived by: his wife Monica Sims; his children, Mary Kathrine Sims (Jordan), Keri Marie Sims (Dylan) and Kristopher Lee; his siblings, Jennifer Petry (Marc), JamiLee Sims, Kristy Sims, Joseph Lee, Lonnie Petry, Jamie Sims and Joey Poe; and his grandchild Dalton Kimbrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center.
