It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Willingham Thompson of Valley, Alabama, born in Randolph, Alabama, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne Thompson; her son Van Thompson; her parents, Byrd Willingham and Lillian Willingham; her parents-in-law, Voncile and Ralph Thompson; her brother Hudson; her sister-in-law Helen Thompson; and her nieces, Gail Thompson and Sheila Johnson.
She is survived by: her son Dave Thompson; her brother Randy Willingham (Susan); her grandchildren, Cami Rubke (Terry) and Jill Thompson (Joseph Paone); her great grandchildren, Cali Grace and Addison Kate Rubke; her niece Wendy Goodwin (Phil); her great-nieces, Jo Jo Johnson and Janna Johnson Cole (David); and also, Jayme Johnson McKelvey (Scott), Tenon Thompson, Bruce Reynolds (Martha) and Cathy McKay (Skip).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fairfax Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
