He is survived by: his children, James McCain (Denise) and Beth Pruitt (Mark); his grandchildren, Whitney Nelson (Robb), Timothy Carnley, Landon McCain and Jody Pruitt; his great grandchild Brianna Nelson; his sister Jeanette Aaron; and his pet Minnie Lee.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel (3700 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at the Harmony Memorial Park Cemetery (6415 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, Lanett, AL 36863).
