He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Van Meter and Norma Jean Ozley. He is survived by: his wife Neva Jane Van Meter; his children, Mike Van Meter, Preston Van Meter (Bridget) and Britiany Ferguson (J. P.); and his siblings, Wayne Van Meter, Tony Ozley, Cindy Jones (Jimmy), Angie Brown (Lamar) and LaSha Bruce (Allan). He is also survived by his family, friends.
