He was predeceased by: his parents, H. O. Hood and Irene Brand Hood; his son Bruce Hood; and his siblings, Lurline Hamby, Sue McCain, Lillian Walden, Cecil Hood and Hugh Hood.
He is survived by: his wife Saundra; his sons, Dennis (Pam), Valley of Perry and Fredonia; his grandchildren, Gaige Williams, Jock Hood (Cati) and Drew Hood; his great grandchild Addison Hood; and his nieces and nephews, Davey Cotney and Stacy Cotney. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
