We bid farewell to Shelby Benefield of Valley, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 1, 2025 at the age of 86. Shelby touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid Shelby farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Shelby is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband R. T. Benefield. She is survived by: her daughters, Ramona Benefield and Maria Edge; and her granddaughter Jordan Edge.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lanett Congregational Christian Church (900 S 7th Ave, Lanett, AL 36863).
