She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Hamil and Elsie Hamil; her siblings, Ralph Hamil, Sandra Bishop and Raye Hill (Tom Gauntt); her son Steve Gauntt; and her brother-in-law Rudolph Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Gauntt Simpson and Martha Gauntt; her granddaughter Mandy Simpson Johnson (Bubba); her daughter-in-law Sally Gauntt Scott; and her sister-in-law Joan Hamil. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
