With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eldridge Lake of Valley, Alabama, born in Tallassee, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Eldridge left this world on September 1, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis B. Lake and Cora Pitchford Lake; his wife Catherine "Kitty" Linton Lake; and his siblings, Mack Lake, Wilma Lake Meadows, Bruce Lake and Frank Lake.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Lake of Valley, AL and Anne Lake Harrison (Ralph) of Phenix City, AL; his sister-in-law Betty Jean Lake (Mack); his grandsons, Will Harrison (Emily) and Grant Harrison (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Greenlea and Ridge; and his caregivers, Joanne Williams, Becky Parker and Ann Warren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home - Phenix City (3738 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lakeview Memory Gardens (4310 N AL-1, Phenix City, AL 36867).
