She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Hudson Mackey, Sr. and Mary Bell Young Mackey. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Griffin Thomas of LaGrange, GA, Earnestine Griffin-Maye of Jacksonville, FL, Keith Bernard, Griffin of Cusseta, AL and A. Z. Griffin, Jr. (Jackie) of Valley, AL; her grandchildren, Frank McLeod, Jr. (Hope) of Covington, GA, Elliott, Howell Maye, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Mallory Patrice Hixson (Garett) of Sumter, SC, Tia Siobhan Maye of Jacksonville, FL, Jasmine Starshay, Phillips of Valley, AL and Eboni Simone Maye of Jacksonville, FL; her great grandchildren, Faith Alexandria, Charity Jordan, Joy Devine, Love, Adrianna, Frankie Julianna Grace McLeod, Jai Esau Maye, Michael Griffin, Mackenzie Greer Hixson and Aria Kamea Finley; her brother Joe F. Mackey; her sister-in-law Minnie Mackey of Cusseta, AL; her sisters, Laney Heard of Campbell, OH and Mary Williams of Mulberry, FL; her sister-in-law Mary Mackey of Birmingham, AL; and her caregiver Betty Graham. She is also survived by family, Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel (305 W. F. Burns Dr, Valley, AL 36854). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Canaan Baptist Church (Highway 50, Camp Hill, AL).
