He is survived by: his wife Amanda Floyd Core of Valley, AL; his children, Dorothy Core of Colorado, Diane Core of Opelika, AL, Racheal Core Lott of Opelika, AL, Chelsea Floyd of Valley, AL, Elroy Core (Alesia) of Valley, AL, Herman Core (Kimberly) of Auburn, AL and David Core (Wilma) of Auburn, AL; his stepchildren, Lasheika Barnes (Clarence) of Valley, AL, Fredrika Bailey (Marcus) of Lanett, AL and Twmaine Floyd (Brandi) of Montgomery, AL; his brothers, Ellis Core (Evella) of Cleveland, OH, Willie Ralph Core (Bobbie Jean) of Valley, AL, Johnny Lewis Core (Beverly Ann) of Salem, AL and Lee James Core (Wanda) of Columbus, GA; his extended family, Emma Peterson, Lola Mae Core, Mae Lois Core, Doris Dowell (Bennie), Willie Madden, Cleveland Madden, Steven Madden, Bryant Madden (Racine), Claude Madden, Travis Floyd (Gretchen), Randy Floyd, Patrick Floyd (Tammy), Kevin Floyd, Sylvia Callaway (Willie), Constance McBride and Daphne Allen (Freddie); and his close friends, Larry Harper, Johnny Patterson, Andrew Butler and Eddie B. Summers. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
