He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Payne and Virginia Payne; and his siblings, Jimmy, Mike Payne, Sharon and Sheila.

He is survived by: his wife Gwendolin Payne; and his children, Jason Payne and Stephanie Payne Ungate.

Donations to the American Legion Post 106 of Trenton GA requested in lieu of Flowers.
