He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Garrett and Marie Garrett; and his brothers, Billy Garrett, Skipper Garrett and Stanley Garrett.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Annette Carber; his daughter Patricia Marie Garrett Spradlin (Dustin); his stepsons, Ian Carber and Aaron Carber; his siblings, Ronda Whited, Elisa Garrett, Patricia Williams, Vernell Faye Garrett, Denita Chatham, James Michael "Butch" Garrett, Joey Garrett and Gregory Garrett; and his grandchildren, River Spradlin and Raelynn Spradlin.
