He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Grady Herrod and Lula Gandy Herrod; his wife Hazel Pigg Herrod; and his siblings, H. G. Herrod, Tom Herrod, Doris Buckley and Frances Pendarvis.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Herrod (Alice) of Marietta, GA, Larry Herrod (Retha) of Selma, Bridget Herrod Wheaton (Brian) of Puebla, Mexico and Demisha Herrod Stough (Bubba) of Selma. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
