It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Cecil Godwin Jr. (Valley Grande, Alabama), born in Selma, Alabama, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Godwin, Sr. and Oneida Nowell Godwin; and his sister Nelda Godwin Chavers. He is survived by: his niece Sandy Chavers Deimler of Dothan; his sons, Jason Hamilton Godwin (Brittany) and Austin Reed Godwin (Natalie); and his grandsons, Andrew Reed, William Henry and Graham Thomas.
