She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Prince and Ruby Seales Prince; her husband Howard H. Strickland; and her siblings, Murray Prince and Carolyn Pittman.

She is survived by: her children, Sam Evans Strickland (Cheryl), Misti Parker (Jim), Jim Lundie (Diana), Bob Strickland and Susan Harper (Jim); her grandchildren, Ian, Amelia, Jamie Susanne, Matthew and Jake; her great grandchildren, Howston, Layla and Madelyn; her grandchild Peanut; and also, Shelia Brown (Ray) and Sylvester "Foots" Dennis.
