He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene "Gene" Paul Maurer and Willie Mae Sewell Maurer; his brother Jerry Maurer; and his great-nephew James Robert Johnson. He is survived by: his daughter Angela Del Busto (Michael); his granddaughters, Melissa Del Busto, Jessica Del Busto and Samantha Del Busto; his sister Dianne Bates (Robert); his nieces, Dewauna Vinson (Richard) and Darlene Smith (Billy); and his great-nephews, Austin Vinson and Shane Vinson (Amanda). He is also survived by 3 children; and many other special friends.
