He was predeceased by: his wife Faye Lawrence Carter; and his siblings, John Burton Carter, Henley Carter and Harold Cosby. He is survived by: his daughter Donna Carter DePew; his grandchildren, Carter DePew and Easton DePew; and his sister Hilda Ruth Griffin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Valley Grande Volunteer Fire Department.
