With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Cook Pickens (Valley Grande, Alabama), who passed away on January 12, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Dorsey Cook and Thelma Benson Cook; and her siblings, Gloria Cook Godwin and John Benson Cook. She is survived by: her husband Reuben P. Pickens, Jr. of Selma; her daughter Sherri P. Smith (Dan); her grandson Matthew T. Smith (Kaylie); and her great grandchildren, Justice, Stormy and Silas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
