He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Jay and Doris Jay of Uriah; and his brothers, Gerald Jay and Dale Jay. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Jay of Rocky Hill; his children, Wayne Jay (Kendall) of Excel and Loretta Sue "Sissy" Reed of Uriah; his grandchildren, April Reed, Hollie Lambert (Daniel), Aeriel Fitzhugh and Jonathan Fitzhugh; his siblings, Philip Jay (Brenda "Coot") of Chrysler, Donald "Dink" Jay (Ellen) of Uriah and Cornelia "Tootsie" Presley of Mexboro; and his pet Leroy.
