She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur F. Dunston and Martha Dyer Wheary Dunston; her husband Charles Edward Stapleton; and her brothers, David J. Baxter and Bobby Dunston.
She is survived by: her sons, James Noyes of Virginia, Tony Stapleton (Tracey) and Haney Stapleton (Michelle) of Alabama; her sister Georgie Howell of Arkansas; and her niece Brenda Smith. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
