He is survived by: his son Tyrone Dawson, Sr. (Letitia) of Union Springs, Alabama.; and his siblings, Mable Peebles (Johnny) of Columbus, GA, Mattie Houston of Montgomery, AL, Mack Dawson (Edith) of Kingsport, TN, Millard Dawson (Brenda) of Montgomery, AL, Germany Dawson (Claudia) of Jacksonville, FL, Reverend Bailey Dawson, Sr. (Shirley) of Selma, AL, Lopel Griffin, Jr. of Kingsport, TN and Oscar Sr..
