She was predeceased by: her parents, Mose Calhoun and Ola Mae Burch; her husband James Wesley Penn, Sr.; her son Arthur Lee King; and her sisters, Mozell King, Doris Elder and Lessie Mae Jernigan.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Penn (Irene) of Union Springs, Mary Turpin (Cecil) of Hurtsboro, James W. Penn, Jr. (Diana) of Union Springs, Dianne Pritchett (Calvin) of Union Springs, Linda Penn of Montgomery, Melvin Penn of Union Springs, Gloria Penn Taylor of Montgomery, Michael Penn of Madison, Melissa, Michelle Penn of Montgomery, Gregory Penn of Atlanta, Jennifer Tolliver (Willie) of Union Springs and Willie Frank Vann (Kathy) of Union Springs, Alabama; her grandchild Tahira Penn; her siblings, James McClain (Katherine) of Grand Rapids, Thomas Calhoun, Jr. (Alma) of Union Springs, Robert Calhoun (Susie) of Atlanta, Georgia and Linda Foster of Atlanta, Georgia; her siblings-in-law, Lawrence Penn (Jessie) of Union Springs, Joe Penn (Brenda) of Montgomery, William Penn (Donna) of Summerville, Leotis Elder of Atlanta, Georgia, Mozella Penn of Union Springs, Ruth McBride (Jerome) of Montgomery, Dorothy Penn of Prattville and Mae Nella Jenkins of Union Springs, Alabama; her cousins, L. C. Cope (Lillie Mae) of Union Springs, Alabama and Ruth Pritchett of Fitzpatrick, Alabama; and also Maudie Banks. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
All services and visitations will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols.
