He was predeceased by: his parents, William West, and Seffie Pipkin West, Sr.; his siblings, Barbara West-Lee (Willie, Sr.), William West, Jr. (Ada), John West (Lavorne) and Harold Johnson; and his goddaughter Rosetta Caldwell.
He is survived by: his sister Margaret West of Midway, AL; his goddaughters, Gwendolyn Turner and Marian Davie; and his close friends, Bro. Willie Crumbley and Clara Anthony. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
