It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Sorrell Braswell (Union Springs, Alabama), who passed away on May 16, 2018, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Carolyn Braswell Harris. He is survived by: his former wife Jane Spear Braswell; his son Bradley Sorrell Braswell (Elizabeth Peterson Braswell); his grandchildren, Virginia Jane Braswell of John Bradley, Jessica M. Holt and Sarah M. Black (Shane); his great grandchild Brooks Black; his daughter Lynn Braswell Haynes (William Sidney Haynes); his grandchildren, Grace Gunter Haynes of Montgomery and William Braswell Haynes of Montgomery; his nephew Mark Harris (Bobbie); and his niece Susan Staker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Hilliard Cemetery Fund, care of Greg Powell, 2856 Hwy. 14, Union Springs, AL 36089.
