It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jamaris M. Smith of Union Springs, Alabama, who passed away on March 4, 2021, at the age of 33, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, John Smith and Rev. Willie D. Babers. He is survived by: his parents, Morris Smith and Cathy B. Smith; his brother Michael Calhoun; his grandparents, Wilma Babers, Effie Smith and Lawrence Penn (Jessie); his aunts and uncles, Shirley Christian, Gwendolyn Babers, Laneshia Babers, Erika Rembert (Cedrick), Randolph Smith, Larry Smith, Johnny Smith (Vanessa), Ray Smith, Willie Babers, Jr. (Janelle), Tyrone Babers, Kenneth Penn (Carmella) and Myron Penn (Karen); his nephews, Mikael Calhoun and Michael Calhoun, Jr.; his brother Darius Smith; and his close friends, Lisa Collins and Quintin Blakely. He is also survived by great uncles and aunts, cousins and friends.

All visitations and services will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols including the use of appropriate facial coverings.
