With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene T. Whitmire (Union Springs, Alabama), who passed away on February 22, 2019 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandsons, William Kent Whitmire and Cash Vernon Whitmire. She is survived by: her children, Bill Whitmire (Connie) of Marietta, SC and Rita Cook (Wendell) of Newberry; and her grandchildren, Cindy Lindler, Jason Barber and Kim S. Bell. She is also survived by her eleven great-grandchildren and her two great-great grandchildren.
