Bertha Maddox Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 18, 2021, at the age of 73, Bertha Maddox of Union Springs, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Maddox and Minnie Lee Maddox. She is survived by: her sister Carrie Maddox; her daughter Adrienne Balkcom; her aunt Mary Pearl Thornton; her children, Corey Balkcom (Latricia), Elisha Maddox and Tanisha Maddox; her siblings, Gloria Tarver (Robert), Mamie Maddox, Alice Freeman Union Springs, Jeanette, Jimmy Maddox (Frankie) of Union Springs, AL, Alvin Maddox, Jerry Maddox (Susan) of Montgomery, AL and Danny Lane of Huntsville, AL; and her close friend Renee Cooper. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and a huge extended family.

Attendees at all visitations and services are requested to wear appropriate facial coverings and practice social distancing.
