Arlena S. Fowler Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlena S. Fowler (Union Springs, Alabama), born in Midway, Alabama, who passed away on February 5, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Estella Scott and Felton Jones, Sr.; her husband Johnny Fowler; her sons, Melvin H. Fowler and Russell Fowler; her stepson Jesse Lee Arnold; her siblings, Annie B. Haynes, Mary Hunter, Clara Dent, Eria Smith, J. D. Scott, Otis Scott and Felton Jones, Jr.; and her granddaughters, Lytonia C. Fowler and April Hills.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Fowler, Jr. (Consuella), Sammie Lee Fowler (Shirley), Roy James Fowler and Beverly Gorec (James) of Bessemer, AL; her stepdaughter Sally Larkin of Midway, AL; her siblings, Joseph Scott of Fort Pierce, FL and Ora Bell Stewart of Midway, AL; her siblings-in-law, James A. Fowler and Johnnie Bell Anglin of Haines City, FL; her daughter-in-law Patricia Fowler of Dothan, AL; and her close friends, Mattie Lou Ousley and Hattie Mae Streeter. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Public visitation will be held Friday, February, 12, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home All services and visitations will be conducted exercising prescribed social distancing protocols.
